Car Seat Safety

Is Your Child Safe in Your Car?

To keep your precious cargo safe on the road, a car seat has to be the right size for your child, must be installed correctly, and needs to be upgraded as your child grows.  Colorado Plains Medical Center, a Level III Trauma Center, offers free car seat inspections with an appointment.  Our certified car seat specailists are here to answer any questions you have and to ensure your child is riding in safety.  Please call 970-542-3333 for more information or to make an appointment to schedule a car seat check.  If this is the first time you will be installing a car seat, we highly recommend that you consider taking a car seat safety class.  Information about such a class can be found below.

Car Seat Safety Class

Which car seat is best for your child?  Whether you have a newborn, toddler, or a small child, we can give you great tips on which car seat is best and how to use it.  Certified instructors will use classroom instruction followed by hands-on practice using various car seats and vehicles in this class.  The class fee is $25.00.  Call 970-542-4378 for dates.

To register for this class or other classes, fill out the registration form found on the mother and baby page, print it, and mail it with your payment.  A PDF brochure with class descriptions and a registration form can also be found on the mother and baby page.  Upon receipt of registration, you will be mailed a confirmation of class dates.  For further information, please call Debra Tolson at 542-4378 or email her at debra.tolson@lpnt.net
