Having a baby is one of the most exhilarating moments in life and you want to do everything possible to ensure your baby's health. That's why we, at Colorado Plains Medical Center have invested in the new Philips Intellispace Perinatal centralized fetal monitoring system that measures the baby's heart rate during labor, monitors the mom's blood pressure and vital signs and generates an alert to the OB staff in cases of emergency.
In addition to our five family birthing suites, we have three additional private rooms that can accommodate C-section post partum patients. All of our full-time OB nurses are fetal monitor certified, passing required testing and educational requirements, further giving you the comfort in knowing we have a highly trained, experienced staff when it comes to having your baby in our birthing center.
Birth, Breastfeeding and Beyond...
We offer prenatal instruction and birthing classes, including infant CPR, breastfeeding classes, and car seat safety classes by a certified child birth nurse educator with more than 20 years of experience. A lactation team, comprised of four registered nurses, are certified in lactation counseling and can assist mothers in this important area.
Access our 2022 schedule and registration form for childbirth and breastfeeding classes. The PDF file may be printed and completed. Upon receipt of registration, you will be mailed a confirmation of class dates. Please mail the form with your registration fee to:
