Addressing your financial concerns
Financial concerns should not keep area residents from seeking the healthcare their families need. At Colorado Plains Medical Center we are committed to helping our patients find financial assistance, whether through a low or no cost insurance program or through a reduced fee arrangement.
What if I can’t pay for services I need?
Colorado Plains Medical Center treats all patients with dignity and respect regardless of their ability to pay. We will work with you to arrange payment terms or work hard to find a program to help you obtain financial assistance from a number of sources. Call 970-542-4363 for more information.
What payment is due at the time of service/registration?
Colorado Plains Medical Center asks for payment upfront for your share of the bill, as most businesses do. This might include co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and services not covered by your insurance program.
What forms of payment does Colorado Plains Medical Center accept?
For your convenience, we accept cash, check, debit and credit cards, money orders, as well as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards.
Who will bill me and for what services?
The hospital will bill you for any services that you may owe after your insurance has paid. You may also receive separate bills for the following professional services, if provided:
- Attending physician/surgeon/consultants
- Emergency room physician
- Anethesia Services
When can I expect a bill?
Your insurance claim will be promptly submitted to your insurance provider. Your claim should be processed and settled within 60 days. If your insurance does not pay, you will be responsible for the remaining balance and it may be necessary for you to contact your provider.
If you do not have healthcare coverage or have a remaining balance after your insurance has paid, you will receive a “balance due” statement. Upon receipt, payment in full is required and appreciated.
