Perinatal and Neonatal Units

Having a baby is one of the most exhilarating moments in life and you want to do everything possible to ensure your baby's health.  That's why we, at Colorado Plains Medical Center have invested in the new Philips OB Tra Vue centralized fetal monitoring system that measures the baby's heart rate during labor, monitors the mom's blood pressure and vital signs and generates an alert to the OB staff in cases of emergency - all without being physically present in one of our five family birthing suites.  We also have four additional private rooms that can accommodate C-section post partum patients.

In addition, all of our full-time OB nurses are fetal monitor certified, passing required testing and educational requirements, further giving you the comfort in knowing we have a highly trained, experienced staff when it comes to having your baby.

We offer prenatal instruction and birthing classes, including infant CPR, breastfeeding classes, pregnancy exercise classes and car seat safety classes by a certified child birth nurse educator with more than 20 years of experience.
