As a board certified internist with an extensive background in critical care medicine, Dr. Ismail can treat adult patients for a variety of medical conditions involving different systems of the body.   In addition, he specializes in complications and conditions of the respiratory system, including:

• Asthma
• COPD & Emphysema
• Bronchoscopy
• Lung Biopsy
• Lung Function Tests & Obstructive Airway Disease Screenings

Dr. Ismail earned his medical degree from the University of Alexandria, School of Medicine, in Egypt.   He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at St. Joseph Hospital at Northwestern University in Chicago.   He recently completed his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the New York University Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Ismail recently married Hajar Delshad, a physician assistant, who also works with intensive care patients.   They enjoy traveling, skiing, and working out at the gym when not caring for patients.
