The Fort Morgan Community Hospital Association has named a new Executive Director. Sandy Engle recently assumed the position on a part-time basis. She continues to also serve as the Director of Community Relations and Marketing for Colorado Plains Medical Center, a position she has held for the past six years.
“We feel that by having Sandy fulfill both roles, that communication and collaboration between the hospital and Association will be enhanced. Upon the departure of Betty Eubanks this past summer, Sandy graciously stepped up to the plate and filled in on an interim basis, noted Michael Anaya, CEO at Colorado Plains Medical Center.
In her role as Executive Director, Engle will be responsible for fundraising efforts, donor relations and grant writing for the Association.
A native of Northeastern Colorado, Engle grew up in Holyoke. She attended college at both Northeastern Jr. College in Sterling and the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and a Master of Arts degree in communications. She came to Fort Morgan in 1990 and worked for the City of Fort Morgan in economic development and human resources for almost nine years before assuming the position of the Small Business Development Center Director at Morgan Community College. She has worked for CPMC since 2000.
“We are excited that Sandy has joined us. I’ve known her for a number of years through her work on various community boards and organizations. Her grant writing, organizational, and people skills will be an asset for the Association,” remarked Tim Guggenmos, President of the Fort Morgan Community Hospital Association.
The Fort Morgan Community Hospital Association, founded in 1943, is the 501c3 nonprofit fundraising branch of the hospital and has the responsibility of maintaining, remodeling and replacing the physical facility and equipment. Those interested in membership are encouraged to contact either Engle or Guggenmos.
