Colorado Plains Offers New Payment Alternative

Colorado Plains Medical Center is now offering a payment option to individuals needing additional time or an affordable method to pay their medical bills. Last week CPMC began to offer CareCredit, a payment option with low monthly payments to help ease the financial burden that one might encounter with certain treatments or tests.

CareCredit is a credit card for health related expenses and is backed by GE Financial. There is no activation or annual fee. No interest will be charged on balances of $300 or more if minimum monthly payments are made on time and the balance is paid in full by the end of the promotional period (up to 12 months). On balances greater than $1,000, a payment plan up to five years is available at a low interest rate.

“This offers another affordable option to those individuals who experience some debt that they might not be able to pay for right away. It’s a good plan offered by a solid company that has been in business for several years. They initially offered a payment plan for vet and animal care bills and have expanded into hospital and physician offices. I encourage people needing some assistance to look into this option,” notes Jon Stephens, CPMC Business Office Director.

Application for CareCredit only takes a few minutes to complete and can be obtained from Andrea Ramirez, Admissions Supervisor, or from an admissions department representative in the emergency room.
